Designed in 1932 by Aino Aalto, the design partner and wife of Alvar Aalto, the Side Table 606 was originally intended as a stool for changing shoes. As a side table, it has multiple uses throughout your home and its three-quarter-moon base allows it to be pulled close to sofas, armchairs and beds. The lightweight Side Table 606 has a tubular steel frame with a birch plywood top and is made in Finland. It stands 17.75” high with a 15.75”diam. seat. Both Aino Aalto and Artek, the table’s manufacturer, have work in MoMA’s collection.
