With its futuristic look, the Luminator Floor Lamp—an object in MoMA’s collection designed in 1954 by Achille and Giacomo Castiglioni—was ahead of its time. Originally produced in anthracite, the Luminator is now also available in striking pop colors. Elegant in its simplicity, the Luminator is composed of a painted stainless steel tube on a detachable tripod. An LED light bulb with a reflector casts light upwards, illuminating your space with indirect light. The Luminator Floor Lamp is made in Italy and measures 74.4h x 2.3"diam. with a 2.3”diam. bulb and 23.6”w base, with a 110” black cord. It weighs 8.1 lbs. The manufacturer Flos is represented in MoMA’s collection.
