British designer Jasper Morrison, whose work is represented in MoMA’s collection, is known for translating the beauty of his everyday surroundings into his work. His pendant light is named for the Smithfield Market in London, where he found inspiration in the industrial light fixtures. Offering direct light from its simple aluminum shade, the design is right at home in a dining room, office, or library. The design is hung by a steel cable from a steel ceiling attachment. Made in Italy by Flos, a manufacturer which reproduces many of the iconic lighting designs in the MoMA collection. Installation required. Designed by Jasper Morrison for FLOS.
