The Grasshopper Floor Lamp demonstrates designer Greta Magnusson Grossman’s penchant for wildlife-inspired silhouettes. Designed in 1947, this lamp is tilted backwards on its tripod legs, evoking a grasshopper that’s stalking its prey. The lamp’s elongated conical shade rotates to direct light where needed. The Grasshopper Floor Lamp is made from enameled aluminum and enameled steel and measures 49h x 14.6w x 17"d and a 94.5” black cord. It requires a 4W–6W LED bulb (not included). Greta Magnusson Grossman’s work is represented in MoMA’s collection.
