Carry your keys with some famous motifs that have been reproduced from the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat. An artist represented in MoMA’s collection, Basquiat created a visual vocabulary that continues to inspire a new generation of graffiti artists today. Two of the artworks referenced on these keychains feature Basquiat’s famous crown motif, a symbol he used to represent the importance of the intellectual over the superficial. Baquiat’s skull motif was inspired by the artist’s reading of Gray’s Anatomy while he was hospitalized at age eight after an accident. Each Jean-Michel Basquiat Keyring (sold separately) measures 3.75l x 1.25"w and is made from hard enamel, black nickel and brass.
