An icon of Bauhaus design, the Kaiser-idell 6556 Table Lamp was conceived in 1936 by Christian Dell, whose work is represented in MoMA’s collection. This sleek design with an adjustable shade is an ideal lamp for your desk, credenza or bedside table. The Kaiser-idell is made in Europe from steel and brass, with hand-painted and chrome-plated finishes. Its name is derived from the first company Christian Dell worked for, Gebrüder Kaiser & Co. and an amalgam of Dell and idee, the German word for “idea.” The Kaiser-idell Table Lamp measures 18.5h x 8.4"diam. Powered by standard plug-in, it requires an E26, 25W bulb (not included).
