This exhibition catalogue documents MoMA’s 1938 show “Masters of Popular Painting,” which, at the time, was one of the largest and most comprehensive catalogue that the Museum had published. It contains not only illustrations of the works shown in the exhibition, but also a biography of each painter represented in the exhibition.
