Little Sun is a solar-powered LED lamp developed by artist Olafur Eliasson and solar engineer Frederik Ottesen, designed to deliver clean, affordable, reliable light to the 1.6 billion people worldwide without access to the electrical grid. Five hours of charging produces up to three hours of bright light (plus additional hours of lower light). Every purchase makes it possible for Little Suns to be sold in off-grid communities at locally affordable prices. Olafur Eliasson has work in MoMA's collection. Made of plastic, solar panel, LED, and an adjustable lanyard. Three AAA rechargeable batteries included.
