Model A is one of the three “siblings” in Jasper Morrison’s family of stools that are distinct individuals, but share some design DNA through their playful personalities and warmly organic materials. Inspired by the forms of wine corks and spools, they make themselves at home as small side tables or low stools. The appealing properties of solid, turned cork come through in each one: durability, lightweight construction, and a surface that’s soft to the touch. The three designs are sold separately. Made in Germany by Vitra, a manufacturer of iconic modern furnishings that’s widely represented in MoMA’s collection.
