MoMA Exclusive: Produced to commemorate the MoMA exhibition Wolfgang Tillmans: To look without fear, the artist’s first museum survey in New York, this t-shirt is made from 60% sustainably sourced cotton and 40% recycled polyester made from plastic bottles and other materials. It’s printed with the name of the exhibition on the front and “Wolfgang Tillmans MoMA” on the back. Tillmans himself meticulously designed the t-shirt with the same approach he takes to hanging one of his shows. The cotton/poly blend gives the t-shirt a nice weight, 15% heavier than most basic tees. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
On view from September 12, 2022 through January 1, 2023 Wolfgang Tillmans: To look without fear features approximately 350 of Tillmans’s photographs, videos, and multimedia installations, displayed according to a loose chronology throughout the Museum’s sixth floor.
